MURIEL EVELYN (PIERCE) REEVES

          Muriel E. Reeves, 79, of 2327 E. 38th St. died of complications
of a stroke Wednesday at Broadlawns Medical Center.  Services will be at 1
p.m. Saturday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with burial at Resthaven Cemetery
in West Des Moines.
          Mrs. Reeves was born in Des Moines and lived here most of her
life.  She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Open Bible Church,
Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, the Policeman's Association and the
Fireman's Association.
          Survivors include a son, Terry Schwabe of Des Moines; four
daughters, Becky Reeves of Des Moines, Diana Sanchez of Greeley, Colo.,
Deanna Orr of Aurora, Colo., and Marietta Anderson of Bedford, N. H.; five
grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
          The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the
funeral home.
