Mrs. Jennie R. Schlotter, 64, of 226 Morgan died at 6:50 this
morning at Graham hospital where she had been a patient since Saturday
morning.
Daughter of the late Norman and Ads Miles Hancock she was born
April 2, 1900 in Keokuk.
She was married to Ralph Laubersheimer September 3, 1921 in
Keokuk. He preceded her in death in 1934.
Later she married James Schlotter March 28, 1936 at Monticello,
Mo. He was killed in action with the U. S. Navy July 30, 1945.
A stenographer and bookkeeper she worked recently at the Decker
Manufacturing Company and at the time of her death was an employee at C. S.
Abell & Son.
She was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ.
Surviving are a son, Robert C. Laubersheimer, four grandchildren, Robert
K., Judith, Wayne and Jenifer Laubersheimer, all of Keokuk, an aunt Mrs.
John (Susie) Trump of New Boston, an uncle F. H. Miles of California as
well as other relatives. A brother Wayne, died in 1938.
Funeral service will be held at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon at the
Schmidt Memorial Home with Rev. A. H. Bauch officiating. Interment will be
in the New Boston, Iowa, cemetery.
