OBITUARY OF ISAAC A. HANCOCK

          I. A. Hancock, for many years a resident of Kingman, died at the
home of his daughter, Mrs. Flora Bloom, at Alva, Okla., Sunday.  His death
came suddenly and unexpectedly, very soon after he had eaten a hearty meal
at noon.
          Funeral services were held at the Christian church in Kingman
Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. A. C. Hornbaker.  Burial was in
Walnut Hill cemetery, with the Mc Kenna-Yeoman mortuary in charge.
          He first came to Kingman in 1896.  For a number of years he and
his family lived in southern Reno county north of Kingman.  Later he moved
to Kingman and operated a grocery store and filling station on the south
side.  For the past few years he had lived with his children in Oklahoma.
          I. A. Hancock was born August 11, 1850; died May 12, 1935 at the
age of 84 years, 9 months and 1 day.  He was married March 18, 1874.  Mrs.
Hancock died January 15, 1933.
          He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Flora A. Bloom, Alva, Okla.,
and two sons, Charles of Des Moines, Ia., and Claude of Graber, Okla.
