GRACE MAY (WRIGHT) PIERCE

          Services for Mrs. Grace May Pierce, 73, of 1420 E. Twelfth st.,
who died of cerebral hemorrhage at Des Moines General Hospital Thursday,
will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Hamilton's Funeral Home.  Burial will be in
Resthaven Cemetery.
          Mrs. Pierce was born in Polk County and lived here all her life. 
She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary No. 738 and
attended Calvary Church of the Open Bible.
          She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Muriel Reeves and Mrs.
Dorothy Kartchner, both of Des Moines, and two sons, Roland and Clarence,
also of Des Moines; a sister, Mrs. Ione Lutz of Des Moines; a brother,
Virgil Wright of Chariton; 16 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
