Frank V. Hancock, 83, a former salesman of 2900 State, died at
8:35 a.m. Wednesday (Sept. 28, 1988) in his home.
Mr. Hancock was born Feb. 4, 1905, in Athens, Mo., a son of Isaac
Newton and Lodina Dell Bodkin Hancock. He married Hilda Steffen May 8,
1924, in Quincy. She survives.
Mr. Hancock worked as a salesman with a Coca-Cola bottling
company in Quincy. He later was a salesman with a 7-up bottling firm in
San Diego where he worked for 17 years before retiring in May 1967. He was
a member of Christ Lutheran Church in San Diego.
Survivors include his wife, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces
and great-nephews.
Mr. Hancock was preceded in death by a brother, Estel, and a
nephew, Donald Hancock.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. in the Zehender Robinson
Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Richard Martin. Burial will be in
the Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be in the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday
and Saturday until the service.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
